Welcome to Fox Hollies Swimming Club

Fox Hollies Swimming Club is an independent, family oriented, competitive swimming club. Our club is open to anyone over the age of four. Emphasis is on competitive swimming, but we have sessions for swimmers of all abilities including non-swimmers. All are welcome.

We compete in a variety of leagues and galas. Some of our members have represented the City of Birmingham and the County of Warwickshire at a competitive level.

We hold several swimming sessions a week at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre and King Edwards Schools.

Swimming Technique Clinics

Between May 2010 and March 2011, the club is running a series of Swimming Technique Clinics.

The clinics are open to club members. They are also open to children at school in Yardley, so tell your friends and bring them along.

The clinics are free to club members. For non-members there is a one-off fee to cover ASA insurance.

Pool Closures

KES Boys Pool is closed on Friday 14th May for its annual inspection. Any Diddy Leagure swimmers who would normally swim at the Boys’ pool from 7-8:30pm can attend the 8-9pm session at the Girls’ pool instead.

We are closed over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

There will not be any swimming at

  • Fox Hollies Pool on Sunday 30th May

or

  • King Edward’s Girls’ Pool on Monday 31st May

KES Boys’ Pool will also be closed on Wednesday 7th July for a School swimming competition.

Mercian League Gala 2 Draw

The draw for the second gala in this year’s Mercian League is out. On 12th June, Fox Hollies SC are off to Wombourne Leisure Centre to take on teams from Worcester, Lichfield, Redditch, Wombourne, and our old chums at Boldmere.

The full draw, including details of the other galas, is available here.

Diddy League Gala 2 – 8th May 2010

The next Diddy League Gala is on Saturday 8th May at Wolverhampton Central Baths, and the team list is up on the website now.

This time there will be a coach and this will leave Fox Hollies Leisure Centre Car Park at 4.45pm. There are places allocated for all the swimmers and a number of seats are also available for parents. For those travelling under their own steam, you need to arrive at the Baths by 5.45 for a 6.15pm start. Please note that there is a gala taking place immediately before ours and the turnaround will be very tight – expect congestion in the car park (and also in the changing rooms!).

As you know Fox Hollies have been drawn as the organising club for this gala. This is quite a challenge for us but I would like to thank all those who have volunteered to help. We are still in need of raffle prizes – and an announcer! Please let me know if you can provide either …

Thanks,
Natalie
